Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:
o Minimum Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred or equivalent work experience.
o Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an environment consisting of multiple vendors and multiple health organizations
o Ability to network broadly to leverage existing Oncology resources and expertise to support CST Oncology outcomes
o 10
years of project delivery experience, including Regional Oncology system solution design and implementation.
o Leadership/Management experience including the ability to navigate complex competing interests leading to improved outcomes
o Strong written, oral and presentation communication and facilitation skills.
o Demonstrated advanced ability to use spreadsheet, database and word processing software
o Skills include: resourceful and well organized, attention to detail, systemic analysis, good judgment, strategic and critical thinking.
o Demonstrable expertise with project management techniques and associated documentation requirements. Preference given to certified project management professionals (PMP)
o Demonstrable skills organizing work and people to meet project scope and objectives.
o Experience in an Oncology environment considered essential, with experience leading informatics projects or clinical change initiatives
Services Required:
1. Coordinate the completion of the Oncology work stream project deliverables including clear scope/charter, communication plan, budget, risk registry, project plan, etc.
2. Update and refine current state assessment and desired future state, with particular attention to the regional health authorities not part of CST, including integration with the regional EHRs and the screening centers, CONS and Satellites that they operate.
3. Coordinate work of external delivery partners i.e. CERNER, and CST resources to execute the project.
4. Produce regular and ad hoc status reports and presentations for various project stakeholders including the Executive Steering Committee and Project Board.
5. Work with the vendor to manage successful delivery and implementation of project components including version control for Data Collection Worksheets, review of design decisions including Playbook content and overall design validation.
6. Create and oversee the validation, maintenance and execution of the detailed project plans to guide the work teams through the implementation of the project
7. Oversee the delivery of the project on a daily basis to ensure the project is delivered on time, on budget, within scope and meeting the expected level of quality. Provides direction and manages the work effort of project resources responsible for delivery of PC Oncology work stream planning, design, build, Integration and Implementation.
8. Facilitate decision making/scoping by CST governance and governance on the extent of deployment required for safe and effective patient care in screening centers,
9. Manage project/portfolio risks, issues and change requests including escalation process
10. Contribute to Oncology work stream budget and tracking of deliverables agreed with external delivery partner.
11. Ensures identified benefits are enabled.
12. Assist in recruitment and orientation of required resources.
13. Contribute to a collaborative team environment by information sharing and team cooperation.
14. Guide the performance of team members.
15. Support negotiations and contracting with vendor to deliver oncology-related services and functions, including identification of business requirements, and validating vendor capability to meet requirements.
