Job Description
There is an opening for a full-time Laboratory Technician III/IV position for a behavioral phenotyper in support of the KOMP Phenotyping program.
Responsibilities:
Physiological and behavioral phenotyping assays
Data collection and reporting using LIMS/JCMS databases
Maintaining compliance with protocols, policies and procedures.
Required Skills
Proficiency achieved through one to three years of previous work experience or vocational training (which would include such training as Animal Care I and Biomethods)
Previous colony management experience
The successful completion of Genetics I & II are highly recommended
Strong organizational, computer operating and mouse handling skills are required. Experience in the careful and attentive handling of animals in a research setting is strongly preferred
Enthusiasm and good communication skills are essential. Applicants must be attentive to detail, eager to learn, team oriented, and willing to undertake challenging projects
