The Port Manatee manufacturing plant is the second Air Products facility manufacturing primarily liquefied natural gas (LNG) heat exchangers. This position directly supervises 20
shop employees at the manufacturing facility and is responsible for meeting all safety expectations, production schedules and budgets, and product quality requirements. The Production Supervisor interacts with all departments and levels of the organization to optimize processes and products. Preferred candidates will be knowledgeable in blueprint reading, metal fabrication, and welding techniques. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to instruct employees on manufacturing processes, motivate performance, lead and implement continuous improvement activities, and work with teams throughout the organization. Must be flexible to work extended hours, day and night shifts, and scheduled weekends.
JOB REQUIREMENTS - HS diploma/GED, Associates degree in engineering or metals technology preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing experience, metal fabrication preferred. Requires excellent communication skills, strong computer skills (SAP a plus), ability to work well in a team, project positive attitude, and strong desire to learn.
