QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN - SEMC, ALLENTOWN, PA
Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an opening for a Quality Assurance Technician at its Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing Center (SEMC) in Allentown, PA.
The position works in the final process step of the equipment manufacturing process. The work is performed in a production environment, therefore teamwork is essential in successful job performance.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Validating that equipment is manufactured to customer and Air Products' specifications, to include: - Visual inspections - Document validation - Instrument validation
- Functionally verifying that the equipment operates as required
- Participating in the overall Quality process
- Acting as a voice of the process by recording and reporting nonconforming conditions
- Participating in process improvement and/or corrective actions
- Maintaining procedures as required to support current process/improvements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Associates Degree or Technical Advanced School diploma, preferably in electronics, is desired
- Experience in the Quality Control processes
- Experience with GasGuard gas cabinets and/or ChemGuard systems
- Background in electronics technology, or controls and instrumentation
- Experience in operating PLC and/or microprocessor based equipment, and electrical and electronics testing capability is highly desired
- Must be familiar with flow/wiring schematics, able to use various instruments - multi-meter, helium leak detector
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge is required
- Experience in high purity semiconductor equipment manufacturing environment is desired
