For more information call 345-5572 or follow on Vocus is seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to plan and execute large trade shows, partnerships, sponsorships, meetings and Vocus' annual PR and Marketing conference, Demand Success.
Job
Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Successful Execution of Events:
Plan and execute events such as:
Annual Conference
Monthly Webinar(s)
Tradeshows
Sponsorships and partnerships
Customer event series
Sales Incentive trips
Sales Kick Off meetings
Collaborate with event stakeholders and manage all aspects of the event planning process for assigned trade shows, events and employee functions
Schedule, lead, and participate in planning meetings regarding the objectives and direction of assigned projects
Interface with other client team members, sales personnel and company executives to gain direction and insight
Manage development of marketing materials, registration process, marketing of events, materials as necessary and internal communications events
Travel as needed to tradeshows and customer events
Communications:
Manage internal and external communications between vendors, customers and sales regarding tradeshows and customers events
Maintain communication with key account managers and global team members as appropriate throughout the entire event planning process
Work with public relations to sync exhibiting and speaking events when appropriate
Work with industry leaders / speakers to establish relationships and secure speakers for monthly webinars.
Reporting and Analytics:
Gather post-event survey results after each tradeshow to evaluate the success rate of each event and propose any changes to project plan and budget
Coordinate post-event review meetings and lead follow-up activities
Maintain historical event files and records
Vendor / Contract Negotiation:
Contract with hotels on meeting space, A/V and food and beverage needs for hosted events
Act as liaison between vendors and events team for hosted events
Manage outside vendors on shipping, logistics and creative for trade shows and events
Budget:
Maintain budget records and forecast expenses
Create and track purchase orders to obtain appropriate goods and services
Insure proper accounting and payment for all event expenses
Knowledge of the following a plus:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree preferred
5-8
years' experience with event management
Strong attention to detail
Business to business marketing experience
A self-motivated individual; a good team player
Takes accountability and ownership of his/her own work
