Purpose
This position is responsible for the internal audit of the company's processes and procedures and compliance with SOX 404. This position also provides accounting and project management support to the Accounting Team.
Essential Duties
Audit of transactions at stores and SRC to ensure compliance with SOX and other Company policies and procedures (including operational audits)
o Assistance in identifying risks and planning audit procedures
o Performance of audit procedures
o Reporting of results to applicable SRC and/or store employee(s)
Assist with SOX documentation, testing and training
Assist with financial statement and SOX audits
Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes
Assist with other accounting and compliance projects, as needed
Qualifications
/Required:/
o Bachelor's degree in Accounting
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
o Knowledge of accounting practices and principles
o Excellent organizational skills
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Willingness to travel (up to 40%)
o Ability to work well with others
o Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines efficiently
o Keen attention to detail and a high level of initiative and ability to work independently
/Desired:/
o Internal audit experience
o 2
years of experience in an accounting position
o Demonstrated experience working with accounting systems
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
