THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
Assume ownership role in management projects, including managing complex and multifaceted projects from conception through implementation.

Plan utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations.
Develop new tooling methods, building innovative tools and revamping tooling standards to reduce production costs.
Interact with manufacturing engineering to develop fixture and tooling poka yoke to improve quality.
Researching new suppliers and tooling concepts is required.
Project scheduling to test new tools and processes.
Design a wide variety of tools consistent with standard tool configuration, including stamping and forming tools.
Identify problems with performance or tool life and recommends solutions or enhancements

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from a four-year college or university; plus five or more years of relevant Tooling Engineering experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, including leading large scale manufacturing process transformations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience in metal stamping or supervision of automated systems is preferred. Working knowledge of 2D/3D design software preferred. Some travel required.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and principles is desired. Formal training and experience implementing lean strategies to improve process flow and reduce cost is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills are required in addition to ability to work on cross functional teams and to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
MUST HAVE STAMPING EXPERIENCE
Ability to read and interpret drawing requirements and specifications is required.
Working knowledge of 2D / 3D design software
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills are required.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required.
Required personal computer skills include, but are not limited to: MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project); and AutoCAD.
Ability to work off shifts as needed is required.

Snapshot of duties:
The candidate will be required to use cad software to review die designs and make suggestions to ultimately
get a tool that will produce a part to specifications with the least processing issues. He will need to be familiar with
AutoCAD, solid works, unigraphics, or catia V software.
Our engineering part designs are done in catia V software and the candidate will need to be able to review and do some manipulation
of cad models in preparation for tool build and quotation for the tool and part processing.
He also will actively participate in print reviews and be able to offer suggestions to improve part quality and function.
As far as daily time of the day would be as high as a full day or as low as an hour a day and daily time will vary. A third of the day on average would be expected.
The qualified individual will be dealing with steel drawing, forming and stamping. The candidate would need to have some exposure to steel types such as draw quality, high strength, hot rolled, cold rolled. They do some casting/sintering parts but experience is not required.
Cam software experience would be helpful but not mandatory. We use a software called Bobcad for our wire edms and cnc mills.
We have a full tool supporting department that does the daily tool maintenance and supports tool changes.
The candidate will be expected to help direct tool or engineering changes but does not need to physically do those changes himself.
The candidate will be required to participate in tool tryouts both at vendor locations and most importantly in house.
The candidate will also be expected to help improve the tool up time and participate in process and cost savings initiatives.
In summary the candidate will be able to:
Actively review and participate in part designs
Quote part cost and tooling cost and timing
Release and follow tool builds and reporting of status of those builds
Actively participate in tryouts of the tools
Actively participate in tool improvements and cost initiatives

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
