Well respected international energy company is seeking a junior level Corrosion Engineer for a direct hire career opportunity in north central Oklahoma. Candidate will serve as a member of the Refinery Inspection Team that actively assists the Equipment inspectors and often times works independently to assist the general and process engineers throughout the plant. Responsibilities for the Corrosion Engineer
Assist equipment inspectors and process engineers throughout the plant
Analysis of pressure equipment-related failures and ensuring all leaks are sufficiently investigated to understand cause and develop long-term solutions
Conduct material failure analyses and coordinating formal analysis to assist Root Cause Analysis teams
Develop corrosion loops with like corrosion mechanisms to assist the piping inspection team to inspect for accurate damage mechanisms
Assist in material selection for new and replacement equipment
Requirements for the Corrosion Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 1
years of corrosion and materials experience
Master's Degree or Master's Certificate in Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science helpful
Demonstrated proficiency with material selection and specification a plus
Proven experience performing microscopic evaluation of material failures desired
Knowledge of non-destructive testing
