The Advanced Programs Team is a small multidisciplinary team working on new systems to advance our state of the art fulfillment centers. This team designs, implements, and launches pilot facilities to demonstrate and prove out new technologies and processes. You will be working in a close-knit, high performance, fast paced, startup within a startup environment.
As a QA software engineer, you will design, implement and test key components of our warehouse automation system software and applications, collaborating cross-functionally to define clear requirements, deliverables, and test cases. The software QA engineer will develop and employ testing strategy and tools based on interactions with feature architects and software engineers. The QA strategy will include a blend of quality process management, test automation, as well as complex manual test plans. You will be challenged to support the rapid evolution of the software through validation methods that are both nimble, but also effective enough to drive quality appropriate to enterprise-class software.
Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science, engineering, or related field

years of experience working in core Java and Java-related unit testing environments (TestNG/JUnit)
Experience with MySQL or other transactional Relational Database Management Systems
Solid understanding of one or more of the following Java technologies: Spring, JMS, JDBC, JAXB
Linux/Unix operating system knowledge and shell scripting (Bash, Python)
Strong communication skills. Able to work with multiple business and development teams.
Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced environment - previous startup experience a plus
Strong background in developing complex enterprise class software running on server platforms
Experience implementing highly-available real-time systems
Experience with cloud-based architecture and deployment
Strong ownership, passion, and a love for solving problems
A sense of humor and willingness to learn new things

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
