Conveyor Quality Inspector - Urania, LA
Hofmann Services is seeking experiencedConveyor Quality Inspectorto join our client in quality reporting using proven troubleshooting techniques. Daily activities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting down equipment, using creativity to develop solutions to keep production running, all while maintaining safe work practices.
Candidates should possess the ability to quickly assess plant processes during a breakdown, communicate with equipment operators and then apply troubleshooting skills and knowledge to fix the equipment.
Main tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Train personal how to troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems throughout the operation to minimize downtime
Train how to read and interpret equipment manuals and work order to perform requirement maintenance and service
Participate in the improvements of plant equipment to maximize productivity
Ensure an accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and/or documentation including PM forms, Time log, Baan work orders, Inventory system, quality report etc.
Explain and Perform preventative maintenance on all conveyors as necessary
Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment's
Train others on acquired knowledge of equipment
Requirements:
8
years' experience as Millwright working and troubleshooting Conveyors in paper mill preferred
Must have the ability to work independent and make decisions without direct supervision
Must have strong Mechanical and Analytical aptitude
Must have equipment repair experience (Conveyors ,Gearbox, Power Transmission,)
Working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems preferred
Prior experience welding (Stick and Mig) preferred
Ability to lead and train team
Ability to quickly assess plant processes during a breakdown
Ability to read blueprints and/or schematics
Ability to multi task and prioritize workload and problems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
