Assistant Mens Lacrosse Coach Part time

BASIC PURPOSE: This position assists in the responsibility for all aspects of instruction along with the development and management of a comprehensive NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse program as a component of the college experience, which enhances and supports the students' liberal arts education.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: a.Assisting the head coach in all aspects of the program b.Recruiting c. On-field teaching and player development d.Monitoring student-athlete academic progress team travel f. Video Breakdown g.Supervision of Strength & Conditioning
2. Represents the sport program in the community as appropriate.
3. Complies with policies and procedures set forth by Assumption College, the Northeast 10 Conference, the Northeast Conference and the NCAA.
4. Responsible for knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. If found responsible for a violation of NCAA regulations, will be subject to disciplinary or corrective action, including termination if appropriate. Also may be responsible for any act or omission that may give rise to a finding that the University has violated an NCAA violation. 5. Position requires working weekends and nights. 6. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Recreation.
Must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the College as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption College. Bachelor's Degree/Master's Preferred. Coaching experience, preferably at the college level. Valid driver's license. Familiarity with Division II N.C.A.A. rules and regulations. Shall maintain current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use.
SCOPE
Interacts with student/athletics, other college administrators, parents, and representatives on and off campus. Maintains regular contact with members of the team.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
Work may, on occasion, involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises. Moderate physical activity. May require physical effort including lifting up to 25 pounds and some extended periods of standing or walking.
