Working in a participative team based environment, using World Class Operations (WCO) processes and principles, the Engineering Associate provides cross-functional teams the technical knowledge and leadership required for the development of manufacturing equipment essential to line extensions and product improvements. Assignments include the application of expert knowledge to improve manufacturing competitive performance. Plans and leads medium to large sized projects/programs that include the integration of outside resources. Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult to complex problems using in-depth manufacturing specific knowledge, combined with the application of engineering principles. Independently determines approach and specific solutions to technical problems. Demonstrates good judgment in risk taking. Widely used as a technical expert within Clorox. Significantly contributes to major technology efforts within the organization. May serve as a work team leader for large/complex projects. Typically manages projects with a value of less than $5,000,000.

Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the Corporate and project safety performance by supporting the safety programs and initiatives
Enable continuous improvement of corporate manufacturing performances.
Ensure project environmental compliance while supporting environmental sustainability goal achievement.
Lead cost savings initiatives and manage project spending
Lead environmental sustainability goal achievement during project planning and execution
Technical Leadership and Business Ownership
Provide functional specific technical leadership on evolving capabilities within the industry
Provides leadership, input and insight to the team on business and engineering needs and proposals
Leads project regulatory compliance
Manage projects in accordance with Clorox Project Management Standards to achieve required results, timing, and budgetary targets

Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to achieve quality results and meet deadlines
Solid analytical skills
High level of initiative and ability to drive results
Change management experience and discipline
Qualifications:
Competent to design in 2
disciplines
FDA or regulated environment experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP or equivalent, and utilization of Engineering Standards
Problem solving, data collection, and analysis skills
WCO / TPM / Lean Manufacturing processes and techniques
Proven skills effectively to document and communicate technical information
Background in consumer packaged goods environment
Excellent presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiences
Understands Continuous Improvement Methodology
Education Level/Degree:
Engineering Degree (BSChE)
