Process Availability Leader primary responsibility is analyzing production losses and generating the production loss report, with the objective of identifying opportunities, and then documenting and managing the implementation of improvement actions. This includes using appropriate level root cause analysis (RCA) tools and techniques. In addition the Process Availability Leader selects, defines, and schedules analysis of systems critical to business goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and
Responsibilities:
Fully support and provide leadership relative to the mill safety programs
Evaluate Asset Availability data and generate reports that identify production performance improvement opportunities to be pursued by other work processes
Identify and communicate operating unit goals and technology plans with respect to health, safety, and environmental concerns, unit operations, and technical opportunities
Select, define, and schedule analysis of systems critical to business goals. Collect relevant data on selected systems
Lead the criticality review and determines the risk management strategy
Monitor and analyze the reliability program performance for the paper machine
Identify when losses occur and apply root cause analysis (RCA) techniques appropriate for the level (1,2,3,4)
Identify the level of RCA to be performed and the Team as appropriate
Assist with product development/cost reduction efforts as identified by area opportunities
Work closely with Production Capability Leader to address area priorities and expectations with respect to system uptime
Possess ambulatory capabilities to move around the mill, climb ladders, and catwalks
Planning and organizing downtimes, working with PCLs (Production Capability leaders) and OMGs (Operations Maintenance Gatekeepers)
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors of Science Degree & a minimum of 3-7 years paper or manufacturing experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, or experience plus a strong preference for supervisory experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving, and analytical skills
Self- Motivated
Competency with standard Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Competency with statistical analysis software (Minitab)
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Thorough understanding of unit operations, process equipment, and technology
Technical expertise in various maintenance disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrument and piping)
Ability to apply probability, statistical, modeling, and prediction reliability tools appropriately
Ability to apply reliability centered maintenance
Ability to use in depth analysis and structured methodology to identify the true root causes of a situation or event
Bottom line requirements we need notes on with candidate submittal:
1. Bachelor's Degree required. In Engineering preferred.
2. 7
years of Process Engineering experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
3. 3
years of Paper Industry experience preferred.
4. Recent supervisory experience.
5. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
