CACI National Cyber Solutions, is looking for an experienced Infrastructure/Platform Engineer to maintain and extend a secure, cloud-technology-based lab environment that facilitates integration and development activities for multiple client-directed development projects focused on big data analytics.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Serve in an engineering position on a team tasked with building and supporting a big data environment for law enforcement-focused end users.
o Provide architectural, engineering and hands-on development, configuration and deployment of system components.
o Provide recommendations on approaches and technologies used in the system.
o Rapidly come up to speed on new big data analytic and storage technologies to apply them in the environment.
o Isolate and resolve operational problems encountered within the environment; coordinates with client, partner, and vendor stakeholders as needed
o Develop and maintain required artifacts - concept of operations, system design, maintenance plan, etc.
o Regular interaction with client and other-vendor POCs.
o Participate in team and client meetings to promote effective project communications - daily stand-ups, release planning sessions, Change Control Boards, user demos and test events
o Take ownership of all aspects of the system infrastructure and platform services.
Required qualifications
o 5-7 years proven system engineering experience with focus on infrastructure and platform services.
o Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 7-10 Years of overall experience
o Proven experience managing/integrating Unix/Linux systems in a multi-platform environment. Direct experience with RHEL a significant plus but not required.
o Familiarity with big data related technologies such as Platfora, Hadoop, OpenStack, MongoDB, and/or others.
o Knowledge and understanding of virtualization technology fundamentals. Direct experience with VMware vSphere a plus.
o Experience designing, developing/integrating and deploying complex systems
o Ability to serve as member of a small but robust technical team, providing guidance to junior members and receiving instruction from more senior members
o Capability to articulate design concepts and technology benefits to customers
o Red Hat, Microsoft, and other relevant certifications strongly desired
o Strong oral and written communication skills.
o Strong, detail-oriented analytical and critical thinking skills.
o Requires ability to obtain and maintain Department of Homeland Security Contractor Suitability.
