Account Executive
BASIC PURPOSE/SCOPE
Under general direction, this position is responsible for developing strong business relationships with the Walmart National account. The purpose of this position is to maximize profitability, sales potential and sales support within BBU's US geography.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop BBU's Branded business through:
Driving sustainable Branded sales
Fact Based Selling
Mod Space gains and Perimeter displays
Secure Distribution for new BBU Innovations
Buyer Relationship
Provide action-oriented market intelligence to the Walmart Buyer and BBU personnel.
Assist in the preparation and implementation of strategic business development plans.
Provide category management expertise in assigned product categories and conduct business reviews.
Act as a liaison between market area sales management and account management in communicating new programs, accounting and practicing issues, developing and implementing product strategies.
Compile and direct store retail price surveys, customer satisfaction surveys and collect competitive trade information.
Develop and distribute a comprehensive set of reports for the benefit of the sales team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Bachelors Degree required plus 3
years of related CPG sales/analytical responsibility, brand management and/or comparable experience or related experience within BBU or the baking industry.
This position requires the incumbent to have extensive experience working in a sales setting and have working knowledge of DSD operations.
Requires excellent organizational, planning, negotiating and people skills.
Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills.
Advanced computer skills, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Access or database skills are a plus.
Understanding and experience in use of syndicated data such as IRI, Household Panel, and Spectra.
Must be located in Bentonville, AR sales office.
