Permanent Position with Benefits
Salary Range: $85K - $100K+
Growing manufacturing company in Youngstown seek to hire a metallurgical quality engineer (NDT) for their growing business. Candidate to oversee product quality for seamless tube mill and finishing facility in regards to heat treating and finishing with a strong emphasis in non-destructive testing (NDT).
Requirements:
BSME/Mechanical or Metallurgical Degree
Responsibilities:
Customer requirements are maintained in the facility with a focus on continuous improvement.
Oversee metallurgical, NDT inspection, threading and finishing, and product release functions.
Must have the ability to lead and facilitate customer audits and monitors, perform offsite audits of critical suppliers and processors as well as investigate field service claims.
Oversee the NDT inspection service contractor at multiple facilities.
Experience:
Prefer a minimum of 5 years in an engineering position.
Demonstrated skills and knowledge in overseeing product quality preferably with a background in product produced to American Petroleum Institute (API) requirements.
A strong non-destructive testing (NDT) background specific to EMI and UT principles
Experience in heat treating, thread gauging practices, final product release, and product/process audits.
A demonstrated background in metallurgy and statistics is also beneficial to the success of the position.
BS in engineering discipline with a strong preference in metallurgy/material science.
Training and or Certifications of either UT and/or EMI principles.
The ability to lead and make sound decisions working with cross-functional teams in a continuous improvement culture.
Salary Range: $85K - $100K+ Permanent Position with Benefits
