Our high-visibility client is looking for a Sr. Functional Analyst for SAP Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management to manage the entire application life cycle from design, development, implementation, deployment to support of daily operations within the existing SAP ECC 6 system and related applications in the area of product development and manufacturing.
Subject Matter Expert/Consulting:
Consults stakeholders on all levels from end users to senior management. Guides business units through their ERP-related inquiries and requests. Activities include training/knowledge transfer, mentorship for coworkers, aligning business objectives with IT capabilities.
Solution Provider:
Provides solutions to optimize operations and support business goals. Establishes business cases, concepts and solution design and estimates, in collaboration with counterparts of the global SAP Center of Expertise and other IT groups (eg take part in IT estimations, feasibility studies, identify and evaluate solutions, help define system strategy and implementation roadmaps). Align local requirements with corporate standards and solution, ensure fulfillment of local requirements in global templates.
Project and Change Request Implementation:
Ensures high quality implementation of change- and project requests within budget and schedule in collaboration with the global SAP module and process owners, as well as local internal and external resources. Provides hands-on expertise for functional and technical activities related to MM, PP, QM and integration to FI/CO, SD and PM processes. Participate in corporate release planning, project portfolio- and forecasting process.
Support Daily Operations:
Manages all aspects of existing SAP setup for manufacturing operations, including incident and problem handling, troubleshooting, monitoring, short- and long-term fixes. Ensures customer, legal and internal specifications and requirements are met at all times. Acts as the first point of contact for key and end users, as well as for management. Maintains documentation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

years proven hands-on functional experience, including strong configuration skills of at least two relevant SAP modules PP, MM, QM, PM, PLM At least 3 full life cycle implementation and experience supporting midsize operations for at least 2 years Strong understanding of production planning and -execution processes, including automation Business Process Modeling techniques and related tools (Visio, Aris Toolset, Inubit) Strong understanding of MRP and Procurement processes Strong understanding of software life cycle and system implementation methodologies Experience with quality management systems and concepts (eg Six Sigma, CAPA) Experience with product development, manufacturing and supply chain concepts (eg KANBAN, LEAN)
Desired:
Hands-on functional experience of related SAP modules FICO, SD, SRM, WM Hands-on experience reporting solutions such as queries, LIS, BW/BI, BOBJ Understanding of system integration standards (external such as EDI and integration with factory equipment) Experience working with ERP (SAP) MES (non SAP) solutions Experience with Document Management Systems Knowledge of processes and standards in medical device industry (FDA, ISO, CGMP) Familiarity with SAP integration technologies (ALE/IDOC, BAPI, RFC, XI/PI) Familiarity with RF scanning, barcoding, label printing and/or system automation ABAP programming language experience Troubleshooting Output technologies such as SAPScript, SmartForms, AdobeForms Portal and Web Technologies BA or Masters degree preferred
