Job Description o To provide resource and contract management across all areas for all trade disciplines on 2nd shift
o Provide and implement solutions to resource plan requirements through personnel moves, loans, transfers, hiring/layoffs
o Determine personnel moves (who) in accordance with staffing plans that optimize mechanic skills to assignments
o Identify and resolve skill inadequacies through training, assignments, hiring, etc.
o Support labor agreement technical development of Supervisors and mechanics
o Be visible on the deck plates in all areas of the yard to provide support, communication and greater Craft Administration identity
o Provide guidance and serve as single point of authority on contractual issues
o Ensure trade practices/procedures are safe, efficient, produce quality and are in accordance with contractual provisions
o Work with Manufacturing management to assign resources and resolve craft oriented deck plate problems
o Ensure all trade practices are administered in accordance with the current labor agreement
o Administer the labor agreement for all trade disciplines on all shifts to include, hearing/resolving/presenting grievances, conducting investigations, issuing discipline, coordinating loan agreements, administrating RTW/SAW and training
Required Education/Training o Graduate Apprentice preferred
Experience o Labor contract administration experience required
o 3 - 5 years working knowledge in a manufacturing/shipbuilding environment required
o Supervisory experience a plus
Unique/Additional Requirements o Excellent administrative skills, effective interpersonal skills, demonstrated skills in the area of verbal and written communications, problem solving and decision making, conflict resolution skills and organizational skills required
o Flexibility to work in a fast paced environment under pressure of changing and often conflicting priorities
o Must be able to work a flexible schedule when necessary
o Overall knowledge of Company processes and procedures
o Demonstrated experience working with all levels of the Company
o Experience with BIW Cost Accounting practices would be beneficial

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
