JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for cost accounting and other consultative services for assigned manufacturing locations and support groups. These services include cost accounting functions, financial/management reporting and information stream enhancement. This responsibility is conducted in an independent atmosphere where strong financial, computer, and general business skills are required.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily cost setting of purchased and manufactured products Monthly manufacturing reporting Monthly performance reporting for balance scorecard and gainsharing Weekly production hours reporting for temporary services Assist with forecasting and planning for manufacturing units and support groups Month end journal entries and account reconciliations Monthly reporting of warranty costs and inventory Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
Education
Bachelor degree in Accounting/Business required. CPA/CMA certification preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing environment with costing and/or other accounting responsibilities required.
PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
Self-starter with demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and implement process improvements that generate time savings through automation and standardization. Strong understanding of accounting principles with an attention to detail. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to efficiently multi-task, work well under pressure, meet deadlines and adjust priorities as needed. Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. SAP experience preferred. Exposure to global manufacturing environment a plus. SOX compliance experience a plus.
