TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Job Description:
Maximizes computer system capabilities by studying technical applications, ensuring proper operations, making recommendations, and supporting users
.
Job Duties May Include:
Field incoming help requests from end users via telephone and chat and respond to work orders, and help desk in a courteous manner.
Build rapport and elicit problem details from help desk customers in a call center environment.
Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to the final resolution.
Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.
Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
Deploy fixes to include installing and upgrading software, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved.
Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests.
Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position
Prior customer service experience in a Call Center environment to include the escalation of calls as needed.
Skills/
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Computer Hardware, Experience with Desktop Operating Systems,
Problem Solving, Presenting Technical Information, Process Improvement, Software Maintenance, Software Testing, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, Multi-Tasking Capabilities.
