Description:
Prudential Real Estate Investors seeks a Buy-Side REIT Investment Analyst to be a part of the Global Real Estate Securities Group, which maintains a focus on multiple public equity investment strategies, with current assets under management of over $5.0B. The Investment Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the management of our North American platform for the REIT equities portfolios. The analyst will be responsible for security and portfolio analysis, assisting with investment management, marketing, reporting and operations of the Global Real Estate Securities portfolios. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative abilities along with a background in securities analysis and investment management. High degree of proficiency in Excel, and PowerPoint is essential; knowledge of FactSet, SNL, and Bloomberg is preferred but not required. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential as well as the ability to perform well both within a team environment and independently.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Assist with stock selection
Maintaining and monitoring various portfolio and security models
Working with sell-side analysts
Attending property tours, company management meetings and industry conferences
Preparing and generating ideas for pitch books
Client reporting and portfolio analysis, including attribution analysis
Board presentation materials
Internal (and external) marketing presentations
Managing service provider relations
Assist in preparation of client service materials
Assisting with preparation of RFPs

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Real Estate required
Strong quantitative abilities along with 1-3 years minimum experience in securities analysis and investments strongly preferred
Solid understanding of financial/statistical analysis required
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High degree of proficiency in Windows, Bloomberg, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential (spreadsheets and databases)
Knowledge of FactSet and SNL preferred but not required
CFA participation a plus
