Product Design/Development Engineer needed for a direct-hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Altavista, VA.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Be able to design and create products from specifications
- Can do lab testing, LabView familiar
- Write procedures
- Write test reports
- Produce DFMEA's (Design FMEA, failure mode effects analysis)
- FEA finite element analysis
- CFD computational fluid dynamics
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Similar
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Product or System Development
- Fluent in 3D Solid Works and 2D drafting
- Strong mechanical design and development aptitude
- Valve design experience (specifically small valves in a high volume capacity)
- HANDS ON! Must be able to do product design, development, creating test specifications and then documentation of such
- Lead experience, self managed with initiative
- 3D Solid works or similar proficiency and GD&T #5
- Ability to write technical specifications and technical reports
- Experienced in design, development, validation testing and production launch of new innovative products
- Design and develop test stands and fixtures
- Strong communication skills; written and oral
- Understanding of quality systems and quality statistics
- Experience in design of valves is a major plus
