Are you ready for a challenging position supporting the Warfighter? Join the TASC team to accept this challenge and deliver solutions! Seeking a Software Support person who is a highly motivated self-starter experienced with working with diverse teams and who has or can get within 90 days of employment a secret clearance.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with and support several high profile software development teams who are developing testing tools used to evaluate Warfighter systems. The position requires close collaboration with software developers, customers, and supervisors to test and provide detailed written and verbal feedback on the developed software. The candidate will be asked to develop software-related documentation such as test procedures, help documentation, and software version documents, provide technical support for the developed software and associated hardware, perform laboratory demonstrations, support processing and analyzing data using the developed software, support the configuration management process, and support the equipment purchase and tracking processes.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to perform well under pressure on multiple high-priority tasks, able to deal with changing priorities within tight deadlines, very results oriented, able to follow, process, and analyze assigned tasks, comfortable working in a small development group to produce quality products, and able to follow assigned tasks through to completion with supervision. This position requires traveling up to 25% of the time. Qualifications:
Associate's degree in a related field
2 years Information Technology experience with Microsoft Windows technology
1 year experience resolving issues surrounding application installation and usage
Intermediate Microsoft Office 2010 (or later) tool suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills
Experience supporting Configuration Management best practices
Strong multitasking abilities
Superb organization and communication skills
Extremely detail-oriented
Document creation/technical writing experience
Qualifications:
2
years experience resolving issues surrounding application installation and usage
Knowledge of XML/XSLT
Experience implementing Configuration Management best practices
Experience with Data Message structures
Knowledge of Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), High Level Architecture (HLA), and/or Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA)
Familiarity with Internet Protocol concepts
Professional certifications for Operating Systems, Network Systems, or Windows ApplicationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
