Materials Manager - $80-90K Consumer Durable Products Manufacturing - Managing the Materials Department including purchasing, receiving, material forecasting, material inventory and inventory storage; Managing the Raw Material Stockroom and an off-site warehouse. Will implement lean manufacturing tools and best practices to manage material levels and movement throughout the facility. Develop and deliver strategic initiatives and cost savings plans related to inventory, purchasing, and freight cost objectives. Manage the Plan for Every Part (PFEP). This is a plant position and reports to the Plant Manager. 4 direct reports.

years materials management experience with at least 3 years managing materials department in a manufacturing and distribution environment. Key to this position is someone with a demonstrated competency and use of LEAN manufacturing concepts - in particular FG market, WIP & RM Supermarket development, kanban development, PFEP, 5S, A3 Thinking, etc. Broad materials management experience including purchasing, planning, shipping/receiving and some customer service. Must have strong leadership skills. SAP experience is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
