Pacific Western Transportation is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Safety and Training Manager. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment and possess excellent leadership skills in the training and development of our operators. A high attention to detail, exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, and a focus on the continuous improvement of safe driving skills and customer service are key to success in this position.
The duties for this position will include, but will not be limited to the following:
Driver recruitment
Deliver and coordinate all driver training including orientation, initial training and scheduled training programs (classroom and in-vehicle training) Ongoing driver evaluations and re-training
Update training materials to ensure content is current
Maintain and organize driver files
Manage and develop safety programs
Accurate completion of WSIB paperwork
Collision investigation and documentation
Track and report safety statistics and other key performance indicators weekly and monthly
Review all on-board video surveillance
The ideal candidate will possess:
Class BZ license
Clean driver's abstract
Previous transportation industry experience
Knowledge of applicable HSE regulations, codes and standards preferred
MTO (Ministry of Transportation Ontario) signing authority a definite asset
Knowledge of WSIB and ESDC (Employment and Social Development Canada) filing procedures
Previous training experience
Excellent communication / presentation skills
Awareness of adult learning principles / techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
