DAT Solutions, a subsidiary of Roper Industries, Inc., is seeking a full-time Trade Show/Event Coordinator to join our team in Beaverton, Oregon.
Summary: The Trade Show coordinator works closely with the product, sales and marketing teams to develop and implement approximately 35 corporate trade shows and events annually. This includes logistics planning and execution of large multi-segment, multi-brand trade shows as well as sponsorships, user conferences and other meetings.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a dynamic corporate marketing or agency environment for companies who market/sell products with a strong trade show presence. Excellent writing skills, great interpersonal communication abilities, and a demonstrated ability to manage projects and events with attention to detail, is critical.
Roles and Responsibilities
Work with the marketing team to plan the creative, booth layout and logistics for exhibits, shows and conferences
Negotiate contracts, book event/meeting space, manage housing, warehousing and inventorying of exhibit properties.
Manage vendors for printing, equipment rental, setup and teardown of exhibits, planning and coordinating the routing of exhibits shipped to various locations, cost effectively.
With the marketing team, execute show/exhibit promotional plans that maximize brand recognition and generate leads. This includes developing objectives and strategies for the effectiveness and ROI for each event.
Coordinate and communicate show logistics with internal teams who are staffing, advising or inquiring about all events.
Generate and interpret post-show reports, including leads generated at shows with follow-up activities that result in sales.
Conduct research, make site visits, and budget the resources to help the marketing team make decisions about upcoming and new events.
Participate in the show and space selection, and manage trade show budget each year.
Manage, maintain and recommend continuous improvements for all shows and booth assets. Remain current on new trends in exhibit design.
Serve as an advisor internally and externally on event-related matters with recent experience working with corporate executives on our management team.
Awareness of state, federal and tradeshow industry policies regarding giveaways, promotions, market research etc.
Assist with managing on-site setup, teardown and production as necessary.
Attention to detail essential; along with logistics management, a big part of this job is working closely with accounting department and vendors for precise budget management.
Qualifications/ Skill Sets:
At least 3 years' experience in trade show coordination and/or management.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with sales, product, customers, vendors and senior management.
Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking.
Ability to manage workloads and prioritize requests to meet hard deadlines
Outstanding project and process management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.
Robust attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture.
Bachelor's degree preferred; significant work experience can substitute for the degree.
Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mail merges; email and web searches.

Ability to travel nationally about 6 weeks per year or when needed, mostly during trade show season
Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for 8 hours a day
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
