Position
Summary:
This is an exciting new role for an entrepreneurial individual with a software mindset to drive new product strategy launching a new business within businesses across the greater company. This is a very cross-functional role, working with internal employees across the various Business Units and Selling Units within the company and with customers to expand their business line. The position will ensure that product contributions to the product line are maximized through on time product releases, achievement of revenue, profitability and growth targets.
Responsibilities:
Own and manage the Healthcare Applications Product Roadmap across Business Units (BU)
Work with BU projects to create User Requirements for Healthcare Application modules
Manage relationship and negotiate product direction & time lines with product managers from products utilizing Healthcare Application
Own the business case for the Healthcare Application roadmap, managing priorities, getting budget approval
Champion Healthcare Application to project teams
Support Applications Development Team
Provide access to customers and/or subject matter experts to perform usability / user acceptance testing
Provide input and direction to development team to help define and clarify requirements and resolve feature implementation priorities
Manage Commercialization of Healthcare Applications
Explore models for obtaining budget from programs
Explore / define sales model for Healthcare Application (individual applications, suites of apps etc.)
Work with marketing team to develop appropriate marketing activities to support roll out of Applications
Required Skills/Experience/Education
Bachelor degree, preferably in science or engineering with an understanding of software solutions
Strong Product management experience with a strategic focus
Experience with Product and /or Project management or development
Exceptional communication and written skills
High levels of initiative, self-motivation and energy
Highly analytical
Project management skills
Understanding of healthcare environment
Commercial acumen
Desired Skills/Experience
Anatomical Pathology market experience preferred
Background in clinical diagnostics field preferred
Post-graduate degree in Marketing
Experience with FDA and other regulatory bodies related to software products
Lean Workflow experience
Location: Melbourne Australia, Vista CA or Chicago, IL
Travel: 40%
of the timeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
