Location: Glen Allen, VA
Salary: $32-36/hour
We have an immediate need for a Data Warehouse Business Systems Analyst for a long term contract in Glen Allen, VA. This contract will last a minimum of six months with a possibility of extending two years.
Requirements:
This role will be responsible for working with technical SME's from another Regional Company and/or a brand new Source System to document and map the differences between any new sources of data into the current Data Warehouse's logical and physical data models. This includes updating data dictionary, mapping diagrams, extending the current models, understanding outputs and identifying any changes or modifications needed to the Data Marts to achieve such.
This individual must have the skills to understand the logical data model as well as the business requirements for the data warehouse portion of the BI solution.
Requirements:
5
years of experience creating models in 3rd Normal Form; Have worked with various modelling tools such as Embarcadero/Erwin/OpenModelSphere; Have modified physical data model for efficient data access paths; Have generated and executed DDL to create databases, tables, views, and the semantic layer; Have identified and created primary indexes, partitioned primary indexes, secondary indexes, join indexes, and all other needed indexes; Have identified statistics columns, and created and executed collect statistics statements; Have identified, defined, and created necessary associative tables, data constraints, and compression mechanisms; Have established standards, guidelines, and procedures for design and maintenance; Must have good communication skills and work well in a team environment; Must have experience interacting with end users, other developers, and/or other teams as part of the development process. Must have Insurance Services experience;
o Specific product experience in Business Property and Specialty Lines (Marine, Trucking/Motor Carrier, Education, Workers Comp, etc) in a multi-tier Company organization is beneficial.
