Position Description: eCommerce/Web Based Solutions Business Analyst
The Business Analyst is responsible for working with clients to develop process and system solutions aligned with corporate goals. This position requires a functional knowledge of the eCommerce technologies, which will include: Web Based development environments using C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server as well as working within application environments that include: Financial, Distribution, Inventory and Procurement systems along with knowledge of B2B and B2C ordering websites and how to marry the processes together. The Business Analyst will proactively interface between internal and external partners and the technical/development staff to ensure effective definition and the delivery of best practice solutions. This position reports to the Director of Web Development.
Responsibilities Include:
-Serve as the conduit between clients (internal & external customers), technology teams and support teams
-Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
-Translate client business needs into application and operational requirements
-Proactively communicate and collaborate with clients to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: functional requirements, business requirement documents, use cases, GUI, screen and interface designs
-Drive and challenge clients on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
-Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision
-Design, development and delivery of quality processes
-Lead design and review sessions with development team, business partners and management
-Review and assess vendor solutions and proposals
-Manage multiple, parallel projects using formal project management methodologies
-Maintain project controls that accurately reflect completed work against project plans, schedules and budgets, and ensure user/management involvement at appropriate milestones.
-Develop project documentation, testing and training materials where applicable
-Enforce best practices and implement policies and procedures for compliance and to ensure company wide consistent standards
Experience/Qualifications Include;
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience 5
years of demonstrated business analyst experience within an eCommerce and Web environment Experience with use case and UML a major plus Full Functional knowledge of major ERP systems (SAP, JDEdwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) Results-oriented self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong management skills Strong analytical and product management skills required Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Demonstrated success of establishing, managing and maintaining effective working relationships at the management level, internal and external to an organization Strong leadership, teaching and mentoring skills Strong knowledge of web based shopping cart processes in both a B2B and B2C environment Technical knowledge web based systems (C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server) and eCommerce related technologies preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
