Software Configuration Manager needed for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh's client located on the North West side of Denver, CO.
The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- IIS Windows web server expertise
- Jack of all trades with experience in configuration/application deployment/release engineering on MS SQL Server - .NET preferably
- Scripting - PowerShell preferably
- Basic networking
What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for deploying and maintaining various software products in both production and non-production environments.
- Deploy service oriented architecture web applications in clustered and load balanced environments including internal, client facing non-production, and production environments.
- Recognize tasks which can be automated and automates them using C#, power Shell, SQL and batch files.
- Create tools and automated jobs to monitor application and server status especially in production environments.
- Write and maintain release/deployment documentation involving job related functions.
- Work with in-house professional services team and other software teams and/or outside system integration partners in implementing new clients.
- Collaborate with the product application development team to identify technical improvements to the product.
- Develop and maintain deployment automation scripts and tools.
- Support maintenance releases, Go-Lives and troubleshooting calls.
- Assist in diagnosing and solving production issues in windows server environment.
- Schedule, perform and notify stakeholders of release software deployments.
- Value internal and external clients and respond to their needs and their communications as they arise in a timely fashion.
- Propose solutions to problem, improve company processes, continuously learning.
- Able to support flexible Production deployment schedule and shares the duty of on-call support 24/7.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of Business education and technical training.
- Strong experience configuring/deploying applications using IIS, MS SQL Server, Windows-Server.
- Minimum two (2) years of Release Engineering experience.
- Experience in enterprise multi-tier deployments
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Understanding of server infrastructure, SAN, and common RAID configurations.
- Exposure to production environment deployments and being on ON CALL schedule for any production issues. Approximately once per month.
- Excellent customer service internally and externally
- Interact in a highly effective manner with other team members and management
