Job Description:
Candidate will be a key contributor to the human effectiveness research area within Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories. Will communicate with Lockheed Martin internal and external customers to define needs and execute on research to address these needs with short and long term payoffs.
Work within a distributed team of scientists and engineers at ATL, other Lockheed Martin facilities, outside companies, and universities to perform research in human systems integration, and human performance augmentation, as well as perform modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Typical customers include DARPA, IARPA, ONR, AFRL, ARL, commercial companies, Lockheed Martin Business Units, and Advanced Technology Labs proper (via internally funded basic and applied research programs).
Applicants are expected to have ideas for research and have a desire to see these research concepts funded.
Research will focus on generating approaches that can be used to enhance Lockheed Martin's goal of combining cognitive psychology and neuroscience research with informatics modeling approaches to show how human and environmental sensing technologies can be employed as technology discriminators in developing systems for the DoD and other Government customers, as well as commercial customers.
R&D; could also take place in the areas of human systems integration, performance monitoring, or adaptive training.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation.
Basic Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Advanced degree in Biomedical Engineering, Psychology, Neuroscience, Physiology, Neurology or related discipline with a focus on development and application of advanced technologies to assess human physical and cognitive states.
At least 5 years research and development experience in a relevant area.
Experience in defining research objectives, preparing and presenting research plans and results to management and customers, developing research proposals, and planning, implementation, and tracking of R&D; projects.
Proven ability to organize and manage a diverse portfolio of technologies.
Ability to write proposals to win DoD-funded contracts, team with university researchers in the cognitive psychology/cognitive science, neuroscience, or biomedical areas, and collaborate with small and medium enterprise companies.
Knowledge of the current state of the art in physiological monitoring technologies and human cognitive modeling.
Exceptional verbal and written skills and ability to present complex technical issues to LM management as well as to be a technical advocate of materials and process technologies and performance enhancement technologies.
Strong teamwork and research collaboration skills.
Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security clearance that requires U.S. citizenship. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired skills
4 or more years of industry experience.
Proven record of winning and executing contract R&D; programs.
Demonstrated successful research project leadership.
Ph.D in one of the above technical disciplines.
Experience in research studies utilizing computational and experimental models.
Experience in transitioning technology from the research environment to users.
Willingness to travel.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
