Works closely with Banquet Supervisor to monitor department standards and operational guidelines within the Convention Center for a specific shift to ensure consistent high quality service standards are maintained.
Oversees cash handling procedures on banquet bars.
Ensures that all banquet billing is done accurately and in a timely manner and maintains food and beverage audit procedures.
Accountable for meeting or exceeding all State of Iowa and the Company's sanitation requirements (ServSafe).
Counsels, guides and instructs personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
Supports safety and accident prevention programs (non slip footwear, knife handling, proper lifting).
Assists in maintaining appropriate par levels of equipments and linen.
Monitoring/implementation of garbage separation and disposal as per standards.
Partners with Culinary team to ensure quality and presentation of food to meet business demands and ensure customer satisfaction.
Assists in implementing training programs.
Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same.
Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
1 year of customer service experience required
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English.
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 75 lbs., and tolerate areas of high temperature in excess of 115 degrees and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and stack.
Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights.
Successful or better performance against Performance Appraisal Standards.
Employee Relations issues.
Teamwork - ability to work collaboratively with other departments and leaders to complete property/corporate initiatives and effective day to day operations.
Compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirements.
Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
Knowledge of and compliance with department, property and company policies and procedures.
Maintain health department standards and regulations - inspection scores should be at or above standards. Cleanliness of restaurant.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
