This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted position.

Air Reserve Technicians (ARTs) are part of the regular civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain active membership in an Air Force Reserve unit so long as they occupy ART positions. As members of reserve units, ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. In addition, they are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Force Reserve units and members are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency.

The primary purpose of this Air Reserve Technician Enlisted position is to serve as a Production Controller (Aircraft) developing and implementing aircraft maintenance work plans and schedules to ensure the effective and efficient accomplishment of required maintenance and coordination in support of unit operational flight scheduling. As such, incumbent of this position will:
Develop maintenance plans for assigned aircraft and associated equipment.
Interpret design and/or production engineering data, standards of work processes, and master repair plans.
Implement maintenance plans through the development and publication of maintenance schedules to include scheduled and unscheduled repair actions, time-sensitive inspections or modifications, component time change replacement and aircraft or system inspections.
Develop preliminary operational schedules (utilization plans) and provide estimates of maintenance support capability to meet operational requirements.
Coordinate the implementation of the Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) Program.
You must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or qualifying pay band under other pay systems in the Federal Service which has given you the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities as shown below to successfully perform the duties of the position which involved assisting with developing and implementing aircraft maintenance work plans, schedules and workloads. (To be creditable, specialized experience must meet the above quality level requirements).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): (1) Knowledge of the functions and procedures of production control. (2) Knowledge of the records, references, and techniques for developing control data. (3) Knowledge of the organization of the activity as well as of policies and regulations governing its production and operations. (4) Ability to understand manufacturing terminology, data, and standards and to relate them properly to the control projects assigned. (5) Ability to observe manufacturing operations and determine whether schedules are being followed, and to ascertain the causes for delays in production.

Position may or will require incumbent to: (1) Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. (2) Position may require a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and/or a security clearance. (3) This is a testing designated position (TDP), incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
