Summary:The Community/Media Relations Specialist promotes Parkview community hospitals through community and media relations and communications efforts. Serves as a liaison to the Parkview Health marketing team. Provides promotional support and coordination for community events in conjunction with the Parkview Hospital Marketing Team. Attends community events and will require flexibility in work schedule and keeps current with new media/social media opportunities.
Education:Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or public relations; the equivalent of 8 yearsexperience in a comparable job.
Experience:Must have at least internship experience in writing/public relations/communications, preferably in a hospitalsetting. Prefer two years of experience in coordination of special events, skills in journalistic/brochure writing,editing.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Position located at our ParkviewWhitley Hospital, 40 hours a week with full benefits.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
