This position will be responsible for the overall direction and performance of the Inventory Control department
Develop all inventory control activities by creating department policies and procedures.
Establish plans and implements new or updated programs to enhance the inventory control function.
Interpret corporate policy to ensure internal compliance; Partner with Corporate Finance to ensure that policies are in accordance with internal accounting practices and GAAP.
Ensure that the physical inventory reconciliations, analysis and reporting are accurate and executed within established timeline.
Oversee the financial close responsibilities, including inventory valuation, margin analysis, three way match reconciliation and the recording of inventory transfers and receipts.
Develop and maintain partner relationships with business units and corporate stakeholders (IT, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, etc.).
Drive systems development by working with direct reports to determine additional systems needs and liaise with systems staff to upgrade/enhance purchasing systems.
Manage department to attain required levels of performance while monitoring the quality and quantity of work produced.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Master's preferred.
At least 10 years' experience within Inventory Control; Retail experience preferred.
SAP experience required.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to take direction and implement changes
Ability to adapt to changing business environment
Proficiency in MS Office Suite

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
