Position Purpose
Summary:
The Customer Service Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for all supply functions for the plants. This individual must have the best understanding of the plant s business/seasonality and is the voice for all items related to containerboard supply. This individual provides continuous feedback and implements strategies in order for the plant to maintain ideal inventories.
Each Specialist will be responsible for 9-10 corrugator plants
Principal Accountabilities:
1. The Specialist is responsible for understanding all aspects of containerboard supply for each plant assigned and uses the data to make the best supply decisions. This includes items related to demand (plant customers and seasonality) plus supply (primary and backup vendors, transportation methods and any issues related to supply disruptions).
a. The Specialist is responsible for communicating supply and/or demand trends to the Trades Manager in order to consider strategy changes.
2. The Specialist is responsible for weekly containerboard order analysis and approval, daily monitoring of inventory, developing and communicating an action plan if the plant is above or below targeted levels.
3. The Specialist is responsible for updating and monitoring vendor run dates. If not running on time develop alternate action plan to keep plant supplied with paper.
4. The Specialist is responsible for understanding vendor transportation methods and coordinating the best option for costs and service.
5. The Specialist is responsible for submitting all quality complaints to the applicable mill and ensuring resolution is received by the plant within 30 days. The Specialist may need to pursue alternate supply while the quality issue is resolved.
6. As a member of the Containerboard Sales Team the Specialist is responsible for knowing and following policies and procedures of the department and Company.
7. As a member of the Containerboard Sales Team, the Customer Service Specialist is expected to continually strive to strengthen our business philosophy of Meeting needs, exceeding expectations for our customers. This includes supporting our Commitment to Service which involves doing what s right for our customers, focusing on strategies that add value and support growth, and keeping the promises that we make.
Decision Making:
The Customer Service Specialist is ultimately responsible for ensuring plants order correctly, that weekly orders run on time, and that minimal delays occur with deliveries. Instances may occur that a vendor isn t running on time and corrective action is taken (address with the current vendor and/or identify a backup supplier). This individual should also understand the most cost effective transportation methods, ensure that this method is available for an ongoing basis and implement with the plant; this would include ensuring that inventory goals and weekly orders are tied to the transportation method.
Interactions with Customers and Contacts:
Plants:
The Specialist will interact with the plant schedulers to discuss containerboard order requirements and any changes made to run dates and supply.
The Specialist will also communicate with Plant Management (Production Manager, Resource Manager and General Manager) when necessary regarding supply strategies and corrective action.
CBS:
The Specialist will interact with the Team Leader and Trades Manager to communicate trends related to the plant which may need a supply strategy change.
The Specialist will communicate with Mill Scheduling and Transportation - primarily to expedite size/order requirements but also to develop a better understanding within the department.
The Specialist will keep the Director of CBS in the loop whenever a GM and/or AGM are directly involved.
External:
The Specialist will interact with trade partners in order to arrange/verify orders are running according to plant requirements.

Requirements:
1. Education equivalent to a bachelor s degree; A minimum of five years Logistics/Supply Chain experience.
2. Strong analytical skills.
3. Strong working knowledge of PC applications including Word, Excel and LotusNotes.
4. Previous experience with computer order entry system, AS/400 preferred.
5. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Extremely motivated
7. The ability to prioritize is a must for this position.
8. Strong problem solving skills with ability to create alternative solutions and meet deadlines.
9. Ability to communicate effectively to various levels of plant and management.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
