Cost Engineer

Cost Analyst needed for a midstream company in their Connecticut office. This position will be responsible for financial analysis and cost support for a specific project team. Experience in midstream operations is desireable.
Responsibilities for the Cost Engineer
Interface across multiple Functional Groups (Construction, ROW, Procurement, Construction Outside Services, Design, Environmental)
Utilize Cost Forecasting System and SAP to produce cost reports
Support Project managers and Function Group Leads in reviewing, checking, and processing monthly invoices
Prepare field-initiated Service Request Orders (SRO)
Work with Office Clerk, Contract Analyst or Contract Conformance Specialist to track Change Order costs and to ensure correct close out of contract invoices
Requirements for the Cost Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in financial discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience OR 7 years of related experience
Experience with SAP
General knowledge of project scheduling and contracts
Understanding of basic accounting pronciples - accruals, allocations
Ability to understand and implement cost control and cost management activities
