Administrative Specialist
Location: Wound Center-Main Hospital
Scheduled Work Hours: Full time 40 hour work week 7:30 am- 4:00pm
This full time position is located in the Wound Center at UNC Hospital. The successful candidate will maintain and schedule surgeries for patients requiring extensive coordination with other departments. Will serve as scheduler for all wound and podiatry appointments, billing and other general tasks. Serves as the expert with internal and external contacts on OR policies, processes, and procedures. Maintains information systems (medical records, hard copy files, automated files) according to established rules and regulations. Distributes files from information systems in accordance with policies and procedures, such as HIPPAA. Answers and completes incoming calls. Directs calls to individuals or departments in accordance with established procedures.
## Qualifications
Requires high school diploma and five years of clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. General knowledge of coding preferred (when appropriate).

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
