A major international tanker operator that controls a fleet of 200 vessels is looking for a Vessel Operator to coordinate the day-to-day operational activities of voyage and time-chartered chemical tankers.
Summary of
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with agreed charter party terms
Oversee agency appointments
Communicate with charterers, brokers, agents, and vessels regarding voyage orders and vessel itineraries
Handle letters of indemnities
Monitor vessel movement and voyage performances
Review vessel stowage and tank cleaning plans
Oversee the fixing of freight charges and obtaining cargo space
Liaise with owners regarding oil major approvals
Skills and
Experience:
Essential:
Shore based chemical operator experience
Sound commercial awareness
Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
Good oral and written communication skills
Desirable:
Experience as a Master and Chief Mate on chemical tankersEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
