Technician

Technician needed for Hartford, CT area. This position will provide technical support to engineers and other departments in the design, development, debugging, testing, and assembly of new products or product modifications. Experience with NDT (non destructive testing) and/or working with small mechanical parts is a plus.
Responsibilities for the Technician
Perform basic troubleshooting and problem analysis of product or process problems
Conduct tests for product revision or investigation, collect test data, reduce the data, and write reports summarizing the test results.
Assemble new product prototypes for engineering evaluation, life testing or customer evaluation.
Support laboratory including the maintenance and operation of the equipment, organization, procuring supplies, tooling/fixture storage as well as some training.
Requirements for the Technician
Associates degree or equivalent in a technical field; or a minimum of two years of experience working in an engineering lab environment.
Working knowledge of pneumatics and pneumatic laboratory equipment including pressurized air sources and delivery systems and pressure and flow measurement equipment.
Working knowledge of measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and digital readout devices.
Working knowledge of electrical theory and measurement tools including digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes are desired.
