We are looking for a Technical Linux/AIX Project Manager.
Contract to hire in Elmhurst, IL
Salary Range when converted after being a consultant: $70,000 - $100,000
5% bonus
We are looking for someone who has been involved with and managed Linux/AIX projects. This PM will manage large initiatives with 3200 servers within their environment from soup to nuts, work with IT people and business, give executive presentations to shareholders and will get training on Linux side if need be. Should understand UNIX (basic knowledge). Will provide DTD functions from PM aspect. Need to be able to do finances for his/her departments. Should have a grasp of what is needed and be able to speak up as to needs for developers/hours/etc.
Must be detailed orientated. Will need to do the financial numbers (or at least be open to learning).
This PM will provide overall direction of the infrastructure Support and Delivery of various projects as well as be responsible for group objectives, systems, FTP Batch Support, quality services and cost savings through reliability, innovation and collaboration.
The Technical Project Manager will:
Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of hardware and services.
Prepare project plans and budgets.
Recommend and administer policies, procedures and standards within assigned unit. Assure compliance with regional and local policies, procedures and standards.
Lead and develop team members, allowing them to assist & lead projects.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the brand.
Ensure the analysis and resolution of problems associated with hardware and application support.
Remain current on technical and professional developments affecting area of responsibility and advises department and division management on new developments.
Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
Provide IT services to the businesses, aligning business objectives with Group and CLIENT strategy and direction.
Member of production support team in which you will be responsible for monitoring production batch as well as being on rotation for on call support.
Manage the overall costs of IT for American Finance including delivery of agreed sustainable saves.
Provide and reviews the monthly numbers with business on budget, plans and actuals.
Lead the overall direction of implementing global applications, distributed architecture, Run the Bank (RTB) and/or non-discretionary support as well as FTP production support services.
Will lead the saving's tracking program under SWD (Software Delivery) regional senior management and consistently working with all of SWD FTP and Non-FTP teams to look at cost reduction and documenting them.
Lead all audit issues with in the environment by reviewing the work and providing a resolution.
Responsible for leading the hardware/Software roadmaps infrastructure.
Lead and manage the plans and dates to minimize SWD risk on the infrastructure.
Responsible for NA regional area ensuring compliance with the group governance.
Work with ITO Capacity team to optimize production performance.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, which may include weekends and holidays.
Required:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a major or minor in Information Technology, appropriate industry certifications
A minimum of ten years progressive experience in information technology assignments
Working knowledge of AIX / Linux / DB2 and Mainframe technologies as well as a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop personnel
