Tyco Security Products (TSP) is a division of Tyco International, a worldwide leader in fire protection and electronic security solutions. Within Tyco Security Products, we design, manufacture, and distribute thousands of products ranging from fire detection and suppression systems, personal protective equipment and intrusion security to access control and video solutions, anti-theft and Electronic Article Surveillance / RFID Systems through our five strategic business units (SBUs). TSP is currently recruiting for a Software Engineer, to be located at our Westford facility in Massachusetts.
The candidate shall work to support internal developers in integration development projects as well as developers from external partners to develop hardware/software integrated with Tyco security products on multiple Operating System environments.
The candidate must have strong knowledge with C#, .NET 3.5/4.0/4.5 in a multi-threaded environment to read/develop/troubleshoot WinForm, WPF, and Web Service application.
The candidate shall have experience with database environments: SQL Server 2008 and or 2012.
The candidate shall have excellent analytical skills, and excellent software and hardware configuration troubleshooting skills to provide technical support and solutions to address customer issues.
The candidate shall have excellent communication skills in both verbal and written, and work well with external partners.
## Qualifications
Education & Experience
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Strong experience with C# and .NET v3.5/4.0/4.5.
Strong experience with Visual Studio 2012 or 2010, SQL Server 2008/2012, HTML4/5, XML, XSD, HTTP, CGI, WCF
Strong experience with Multi-threaded development in an enterprise architecture: thread synchronization, locks, database concurrency.
Strong experience with developing localizable WinForm and or web service applications.
Strong experience in Operating Systems, both Microsoft (Windows 7, 8.1, 2012) and Linux (Ubuntu, SUSE), networking, security, and data communication.
Strong experience with building and maintaining positive relationship with external partners as well as internal developers to deliver a high level of service.
Experience in server-client and enterprise software/hardware system configuration with excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills to provide technical support and solutions to address customer issues.
Team player with high motivation, extremely passionate, highly organized skill, and excellent communication skill (both verbal and written).
Experience in access control, video, and wireless network communication is a plus.
