Job Description
The IT Business Analyst role is to participate in various internal and client-specific projects that require IT resources. Projects include delivery of IT solution and client orders. This position requires knowledge of all programming requirements, and deliverables for client initiatives. The IT Business Analyst is responsible for: working with clients on deriving the business requirements for IT projects. Additionally, the IT Business Analyst will work with IT Development to convert the functional design to technical designs utilized by developers and with QA to build appropriate test scenarios/cases to test the new/enhanced functionality. The IT Business Analyst will work with clients to investigate and documents any issues/error in order processing or site performance. IT Business Analyst also interface with production staff in ensuring quality and delivery of client orders where appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with IT Project Manager, Development and QA in the execution of project lifecycle, including but not limited to analysis, design, implementation, testing, release and maintenance.
- Communication with client contacts and business personnel as to project deliverables, issue/resolution.
- Documenting requirements, test scenarios, issues and resolutions in agreed upon standards.
- Participate in month end billing by running reports or providing clarifications to details.
- Collaborate with production staff in ensuring order delivery.
- Classifying data and determining retention requirements
- Adhere to all policies and procedures related to security and protecting privacy of client and company information.
- Role will work directly with confidential client data containing protected health information and/or personally identifiable information and individual must complete annual HIPAA training.
- Support other tasks and responsibilities, both permanent and temporary as assigned or directed by management.
Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of IT project lifecycle.
- Knowledge of print and fulfillment business a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite. SQL knowledge beneficial
- Experience in a Business Analysis role preferred
- Proficiency in English.
- 4-yr college degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience is required.
