Job Description
The Service Delivery Coordinator provides excellent service to our customers, shareholders and employees by successfully performing and assisting management with all functions necessary to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the public water system. Duties include either directly or by directing the work of others installation, maintenance, repair, relocation, retirement, testing and operations of the water distribution system, water treatment facilities and related structures. The Service Delivery Coordinator works and trains with and/or under the supervision of the Superintendent and Foreman with a focus on supporting all areas of Service Delivery and acquiring the necessary skills to be a future leader in Service Delivery.

Required Skills
The Service Delivery Coordinator performs a wide variety of duties and tasks related to operating and maintaining the public water distribution and treatment system, including:
Assists the Foreman in leading the activities of the Service Delivery Teams including but not limited to, scheduling, coordinating resources, and monitoring performance to establish and meet Company and Region Field Service initiatives and goals.
Effectively communicates with the teams and leadership to ensure team members are demonstrating Company values and their work is contributing to Company goals. The Service Delivery Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting the Forman in the training and development of team members to ensure the team has the skills required to perform the work.
Either directly, or as a backup to the Forman and Superintendent, performs all administrative functions required to successfully maintain proper record keeping of all water system assets and attributes. This position will be responsible for maintaining in depth knowledge of and expertise in the technology required for the successful operation of the water systems in the region. This will also include training others on the use of technology.
Either directly or by leading the work of others operates and maintains equipment and vehicles; i.e., trucks, digging and trenching equipment, pavement and rock breakers, tampers, pumps, compressors, and such other equipment as the Company may have or acquire for the purpose of system construction or maintenance.
Either directly or by leading the work of others installs, maintains, and repairs pipe, hydrants, service lines, manholes and related valves, fittings and appurtenances.
Either directly or by leading the work of others installs meters, reads meters, and transfers meter reads to the home office.
Either directly or by leading the work of others performs field customer service work.
Either directly or by leading the work of others assist in the maintenance and operation of all of all water system treatment plants, wells, pump stations, tanks and control valves including systems operated under contract in their assigned area. They will help ensure the delivery of high quality water by inspecting, testing, adjusting, and repairing pumps, meters, gauges, control valves, generators, chemical feeders, filters, recorders, and other related equipment.
Demonstrates the proper regard for the use of time and equipment, and an awareness of the responsibility to safeguard the water supply and prevent pollution of area surface water.

Required Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Five years or more of related experience. Demonstrated ability to learn and independently obtain additional training and expertise.
Knowledge of the regional distribution system, hydraulics and water quality.
A valid Maine driver's license is required. CDL preferred.
Must have or be able to obtain within a reasonable amount of time a Maine Class 3 Distribution license and a Class 4 Treatment license.
Must qualify for respirator use.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required, including the ability to develop others.
Thorough knowledge of Company rules and regulations required.
Must have domonstrated proficiency using computers and technology.
Must possess aptitude to work standby schedule. This includes responding outside of normal business hours to respond to urgentservice delivery issues. This could include performing maintenance of customer accounts, resolving problems related to distribution system or other urgent service delivery problems.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work is primarily outdoors with prolonged periods of physical activity, but will also include and require the following:
Exposure to indoor and outdoor settings, potentially extreme heat, cold, wind, or humidity.
Frequent walking, bending, climbing and kneeling, and occasional squatting and crawling.
Exposure to sufficient noise to cause employee to shout above ambient noise level.
Potential exposure to vibration, fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, poor ventilation, toxic fumes, hazardous chemicals.
Occasionally in close quarters, crawl spaces, shafts, manholes, small-enclosed rooms, permitted or non-permitted confined spaces and narrow aisles or passageways.
Occasional balancing, frequent repetitive motion, lifting, pushing and pulling.
Occasional exertion of force up to 50 pounds, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
Frequent dexterity skills including feeling, grasping, reaching, and fingering.
Continuous hearing, talking, seeing as well as the ability to read, comprehend, problem solve, reason and concentrate.
Must be able to perform the physical functions required to operate all the necessary equipment to perform the functions of the job described above.
