Job Description: AS STATED IN NUP 64, NEW HIRES AND EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE TRANSFERRED INTO A POSTED POSITION ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN IN THEIR CURRENT POSITION FOR ONE YEAR BEFORE APPLYING FOR A SYSTEM JOB POSTING. IN ADDITION, EMPLOYEES NEED TO INFORM THEIR SUPERVISOR WHEN APPLYING FOR A POSTED JOB. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: An Associate's degree in electrical technology or the equivalent in combined education and experience and ten years of related electrical utility experience is required. Supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Individual must successfully pass the Pittsburgh Psychological Test. Other requirements include: the ability to function under stress of emergency situations for extended periods of time; a thorough knowledge of the switching and tagging procedures, electric distribution system operations, and all applicable PC-based and mainframe applications; the ability to communicate and work effectively with various levels of the organization and outsiders involved with electric distribution operations; the ability to analyze electric distribution system problems and act accordingly; and the ability to effectively supervise and direct the work of others. This position will require 24/7 shift rotation coverage. POSITION
Responsibilities: Individual will supervise the Distribution System Operations Center which will include planning, coordinating, directing and supervising switching and tagging; writing, checking and issuing clearances; monitoring of loads; emergency restoration, maintaining adequate shift coverage and associated reporting for the electric distribution system. Responsibilities include: monitoring, operating and maintaining electronic dispatch system including the operation of SCADA equipment; receiving trouble calls (tickets), analyzing the problem and initiating and directing corrective action; monitoring load and voltages on circuits and substation equipment during switching and peak periods to assure loading parameters are not exceeded; implementing the assigned region's emergency response plan as required; maintaining the regional operations center operation diagram to reflect current system status; operating and maintaining dataset for the Outage Management system; monitoring SCADA, substation, and system alarms; coordinating ESCC switching requirements between ESCC system dispatchers and appropriate region and/or area work center personnel for assigned shift; preparing, and maintaining the assigned regional operations center records and reports in support of system operations; coordinating with ESCC Black Start Procedure and emergency load shedding in accordance with current ESCC Operating Instructions and T&D; Group Procedures Operating Instructions for assigned shift; and training new Operators including assisting in OMS class instruction and switching and tagging procedures to company personnel.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
