This position is part of the Timberlands Supply Chain Accounting team. The accountant is responsible for providing accurate, reliable, and timely accounting information to the Timberlands business within an integrated work system covering all functional and operating areas of the business segment.
Key Functions:
Maintain and monitor key internal controls
Perform financial closing activities including journal entries, analysis, and reporting
Provide management reporting
Perform balance sheet analysis
Perform account reconciliations according to the Weyerhaeuser Account Reconciliation Policy
Provide support to internal and external auditors
Prepare Tax and government reports
Develop efficient and reliable processes and maintain accurate process documentation
Promote and foster the team work system

Requirements:
Candidates must have a BA/BS degree in Accounting.
Must have a strong orientation towards individual development, and a desire to work within a team-oriented work system.
Must possess effective relationship building and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to challenge the norm
Commitment to safety in the office environment with a demonstrated caring for the safety of the team.
With Weyerhaeuser's announced move of its Corporate Headquarters building from Federal Way to Seattle around the summer of 2016, candidates must be willing to work first in Federal Way, and then in Seattle's Pioneer Square upon the move.
Candidates with solid career development plans, including being open to potential relocation away from Corporate Headquarters in Seattle in a 5
year time frame for financial and/or analytical opportunities are preferred.
Applicants with less than five years of Accounting work experience should include collegiate transcripts with their resume submission.
Position level will be determined based on successful applicant's skills and experience.
