The contractor's primary responsibilities will be the comprehensive management of writing, editing and publishing material in support of the DoD customer. This position is responsible for understanding and communicating the goals and objectives of an unclassified DoD tendered network, All Partners Access Network (APAN), supporting multi-national partners.
Assess current APAN capabilities and customer needs to communicate those needs to multi-national end users.
Manage and work with design team to implement marketing tactics and the development of promotional materials for APAN.
Assist product development teams in assessments of business impacts.
Manage and support product development teams in ongoing communication to multi-national end users.
Manage and develop strategic marketing plan for internal organization and multi-national end users.
Assemble resources and work with others to accomplish projects as they occur in the context of business requirements.
Attend various meetings and provide input highlighting communication and marketing techniques.
Research and develop necessary communications to support business objectives.
Coordinate and collaborate with staff on themes and article focus.
Proofread and validate all copy in communication materials are consistent with pre-defined organizational branding.
Knowledge and understanding of content management systems.
BA/BS (minimum) required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or similar area of study.
Proven written and verbal communication skills, preferably with previously published pieces.
Ability to efficiently conduct research on topics related to HA/DR, Combatant Command operations, and exercise support, and analyze for inclusion in APAN marketing and PR programs.
Experience using and navigating the following software programs: SharePoint 2010, Zimbra Community.
Knowledge of HA/DR communities of interest, civil-military cooperative efforts, Combatant Command operations, and exercise support.
Related or relevant experience working with US, foreign, civilian and military authors, audiences, contacts and staff.
Experience with tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Experience in typography fundamentals and graphic layout.
Experience in writing publication ready articles on current events and programs.
Related or relevant experience in Pacific theater of operations; knowledge of U.S. Pacific Command's theater strategy desired.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
