Title: Cyber Security Network Engineer, Senior Location: Virginia-Springfield
Key Role:
Take a leadership role in engineering new cybersecurity requirements. Perform Operations and Sustainment (O&S) functions for the NCE network security infrastructure, including firewalls, Web gateways, mail gateways, ids, load balancers, performance monitoring tools, and management systems. Perform perfective maintenance or advanced configuration of equipment to protect the network from emerging cyber threats. Conduct forensic traffic and log analyses to isolate issues or respond to analyst alerts. Respond to escalated troubleshooting requests and maintain and administer network infrastructure standards, documentation, and fault tolerance. Represent the team at recurring government meetings, including TEMs, IPTS, and Configuration Management Boards. Present monitoring and test results and reports, perform and support integration testing, and participate in special projects, as required.
Basic
Qualifications:
-5 years of experience with systems engineering
-Experience with several of the following platforms: Juniper Firewall administration for Netscreen and SRX, McAfee and Sidewinder Firewall Administration for Virtual and physical, McAfee Web Gateway Administration, McAfee E-mail Gateway Administration, Netscout Performance Manager, Netscout Infinistream, Cisco ACE Load Balancer, Cisco ASA FW, or Cisco IPS/IDS
-Experience with installing, hardening, deploying, documenting, and troubleshooting network perimeter security technologies.
-Experience with scripting on UNIX or RHEL
-Experience with network routing and vlan technology
-Knowledge of Windows Enterprise AD architecture
-Ability to support a flexible schedule in support of 7x24 staff
-TS/SCI clearance

Qualifications:
-Experience with a network on Juniper or Cisco equipment, including engineering, design, and administration experience for virtualization platforms, Data Center, Microsoft, VMware, Storage solution, Cisco, Juniper, or UNIX
-Experience with VMware Virtualization
-Experience with cyber threat analysis
-Experience with network infrastructure and design a plus
-Possession of excellent oral and technical written communication skills
-Current or active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph a plus
-BA or BS degree in CS, Engineering, or a related technical field or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work and military experience
-CCNP, CCNA, SANS, or CISSP Certification
