We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Surveillance Operator. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties of the Surveillance Department.
Observes activities of customers and cast members in all gaming and money handling areas.
Reports to Surveillance Supervisor and Director of Surveillance. Will notify gaming commission agents and/or Mississippi State Tax Commission agents when appropriate.
Ensures compliance of all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow cast members.
Any and all duties as assigned by your Supervisor or a member of management.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public .
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software.
Must be able to obtain a Gaming Permit.
Thorough knowledge of casino operations, casino games, casino cheating and embezzlement scams, etc. Thorough knowledge of video surveillance equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the cast member is regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, crawl, twist, climb, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The cast member is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The cast member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
