Accounting Intern
Danfoss Power Solutions has a great opportunity for a self-driven, results-oriented Accounting student to gain real-world experience. Students seeking variety, challenge, and an opportunity to build problem-solving and people skills will benefit from our internship. The candidate must be a strong communicator, self-starter, team player, and business professional.
Key
Responsibilities:
Responsible for specific customer accounts - collection, releasing orders, communicating with customers by e-mail and/or phone
Inputting accounts payable invoices into SAP system, reconciling supplier statements, responding to supplier inquiries
Summarizing information in excel spreadsheets
Project work as needed
Qualifications:
Major: Accounting
Level of Education: Junior or higher
Needs working knowledge of Microsoft Programs, Excel in particular
Work availability - Full Time (40 hours/week)
Commitment to work until school starts
Location of Position: Ames, IA
Start: May when spring semester dismisses for summer vacation

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
